Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using heicv.pages.dev or the HEICV browser extension (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

HEICV converts image and video files between formats (HEIC/HEIF to JPG/PNG, Live Photo to GIF/MP4) entirely inside your browser. No files are uploaded to our servers.

3. Your responsibilities

• You must have the legal right to process any file you convert.
• You must not use the Service to infringe copyright or other rights.
• You are solely responsible for the content you convert and how you use the output.
• You must not attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service for malicious purposes.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that every file will convert successfully — some HEIC variants, DRM-protected content, and unusual encodings are not supported.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the Service, including data loss, file corruption, or copyright claims.

6. Service availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

7. Intellectual property

The HEICV name, logo, and site design belong to us. The conversion engine uses open-source software (libheif, gifenc) under their respective licenses.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
